Our Pitts Challenger was what started SMD back in 2011!, The Challenger is synonymous with Skip model Designs, It was our first bipe back in 2011 , Hands down the best flying & performing Pitts Challenger model available, With such a Light wing loading and large wing area it is a very easy to fly model.

Over the years it has been updated twice in 6 Years for a lighter & Easier building model. This time, our 44% Challenger has had a major overhaul to make it welcoming to the Novice giant scale builder , Much attention was given to the wings to utilize as much interlocking components as possible to allow a fast and accurate wing building experience.

There is over 100+ updates / Changes in the 2022 revision of the Challenger that brings it inline with the new developments in design and constructions techniques & to top it all off a new Scale shaped CNC created cowling mold.

This Pitts Challenger from SMD is the Definitive edition of the model.

-Note: Model is kitted with Squared off wing tips, However the builder can create the rounder Challenger 3 tips as its a minor
mod, We can produce the model with the Challenger 3/Wolf pits style rounded Rudder and Elevators upon request.

Please note: As each kit is normally manufactured to order, please allow 2-6 weeks for Manufacture and shipping dispatch, With the wood kit being manufactured and shipped first and then Composite parts to follow shortly after

The Wood kits are Made right here in Victoria, Australia and the Composites are Made in Europe.
