Saito 325 R5 with custom Ring exhaust and 5 cylinder CHI Ignition kit. The engine has flown 4 times from new, my landing gear was damaged and I lost interest in the hobby after 10 years before I had a chance to get it back in the air. The P47 styled spinner is billet machined. There are 2 engine mounts, one original and one billet machined so the engine is shorter to fit a Hangar 9 P47.
The ring exhaust is custom made from thin walled tube, it has a much bigger bore than a keleo exhaust allowing the engine to make better power.
The 5 cylinder CHI Ignition I had custom made for $350, he never supplied a cover on the electronics and my cover I made was part of the plane so you may have to make one. All other brackets were custom made and the original drive flange was precision drilled to accept the timing magnets.
I ran the engine on 15% glow fuel but with spark ignition as it makes more power than on glow and it'll restart itself as long the crank is still turning unlike glow. It can be run on gas but probably best buy 100 octane as it has higher compression being glow.
It made 7800 rpm turning a 18 x 12 2 blade, it pulled a Hangar 9 P47 at 181kph on telemetry flat and level flight at 60% throttle.
It comes with original box and all original paperwork, 2 types of original exhausts unused, ring exhaust, 2 different engine mounts, Opto kill, digital taco, custom spinner, custom 50 degree mixture cable and CHI ignition.
This engine has always had ample after run oil flooded into the crank case after use to prevent corrosion, any serious inspection is welcome.
