Hi, my name is Tim and I have my 3D printer available for those who wish for 3D printed parts for their aircraft. Building a scale cockpit adds a lot of realism to your model and with a 3D printer it's a lot cheaper than buying vacuum formed kits from overseas.
I have a Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro, using PLA filament in a variety of colours including red, black, green, blue and grey.
I am getting into building more scale cockpit panels and use 2D images from publicly accessible material and converting it into a 3D model by use of Fusion 360 and Cura.
If you have an aircraft cockpit panel you want to have printed, let me know the size (LxWxH) in mm, aircraft type, images you have available etc and I will start printing.
A basic panel at about 180mm in length takes roughly 3 hours to complete depending on complexity, thickness and layer height. A completed panel not painted will be roughly $30-$40.
I can also print and design other components for your aircraft including landing gear supports, dummy engines, side panels etc. Feel free to email, text etc for your ideas and I will do my best to come up with a solution and product.
I have a Thingiverse account where I upload the designs I do so please have a look and if you are interested in anything I am more than happy to help you out, it is under Merch3D.
I am looking at helping the RC community with good products especially when everything is so expensive and getting kits from overseas is out of the question!
Let me know your thoughts and let’s start printing!
