Good motor for large scale gliders. This motor has been run for less than one hour. i.e. - one flight. It runs flawlessly and has a rear mount as well as the tapered front mount. It will deliver an obscene amount of power to the prop. It is way too big for any model that I have, so I would like to pass it on. The motors retail for $200 here in Australia and are well worth it. I paid $70 for it a few years back, so I reckon it is worth $75 when you take inflation and low interest rates in into account, but I will haggle on that.
I will swap it for a brand new turnigy sk3 glider drive (outrunner in a can) If you have one to spare. I would prefer the 1120kv but will look at any of the four motors that hobbyking sell. 3850 or 3858. 840, 960, 1120 or 1400kv.
This is the second time I have listed this motor. Last time I withdrew the ad because someone thought I was selling a dodgey motor! He saw the blue silicon that I applied to the soft silicon wires and made an incorrect assumption. I squeezed a bit of silicon around the wires to make sure they didn't short out onto the case.
You have my word as a gentleman and scholar that this motor is good to go. It has a few scratches on the can but I have run it with a 13 x 6.5 on three cells and it pulled 80A with ease and generated little heat (warm to the touch). Pulls like a freight train. It will also swing a 15" prop on two cells.
