I’m considering selling my TopFlite P-51B project. I haven’t touched it in 4 years and I have too many other projects.
This is a 1/5 scale P-51D ARF, that has been converted using a Spychiller turtleneck kit, which is scale accurate (the tail feathers have been moved up in the scale position).
The cowl has been replaced with a scale accurate cowl and scale TruTurn spinner.
The whole plane has been fibreglassed, sanded and primed in auto 2-pac epoxy primer. It is ready to add panel lines/rivets and paint. I have started scaling the wheel wells.
Comes with a very rare “Malcom Hood” canopy and a standard P-51B glass-house canopy.
Also comes with a Aerotech scale detail pack and Propagteam scale cockpit (painted version).
The pilot is from Best Pilots.
Robart retracts with Aerotech main wheels and a rare Gleninis scale tail wheel. As it's been sitting around for 4 years, the retracts have some slight surface rust. Just needs a quick going-over with steel wool.
Comes with a custom dry decal kit for the Ding Hao livery
Most of these items are no longer available.
The type of person who would want this plane will know how much time and money has been invested
This plane owes me over $4,000. The cockpit alone cost $400 USD and the tail wheel was $300 USD. It all adds up.
