Up for sale is a Byron Originals Glasair TD project.
The plane is mostly built and is made up of a Fibreglass Fuselage with Fibre glassed foam wings and stabilisers. The model has been recently painted in white and is ready to be finished off.
This is a classic Byron Originals plane based on the homebuilt Stoddard-Hamilton 1979 Glasair TD (Tail Dragger). The plane is a 30% scale model of the original.
I have decided to let it go as I have taken a different direction in this hobby.
The model can be disassembled for easy transportation. Each of the wings and stabilisers are removable via grub screws.
The internal mechanisms is of the Byron Original torque rods system which means that the model is very scale like and has very clean lines. All servos are located in the base of the cockpit for easy access.
It comes with many spares as listed here: 1 x Spare set Cowl 1 x Spare wheel pants 2 x Spare aluminium landing gear 3 x Spare clear plastic windscreens and side screens 1 x Spare Fibreglass Landing gear fairing
Included in the sale is the instruction manual as well as a simple graphics template and some Glasiar Graphics.
There is no engine and no electronics included with this sale. However, it does come with servos which are already installed but I would not recommend keeping them. I was going to replace all of them if I kept this project going.
This model is rare and hard to find. It is a very good example of this model considering its age.
