This fiberglass part kit builds a beautiful scale Tucano designed for a 2 Stroke 60, 4 Stroke 90 or a 15-20cc petrol engine.
The highly successful fullscale Embraer Tucano was designed as a low-wing dual tandem cockpit turboprop trainer but with four hardpoints under the wings it provided the capability for armed training missions and conducting air support and ground attack missions.
As a model not only is it good looking and fully aerobatic, it is also possible to build all the scale features including flaps and retractible undercarriage. Whilst not a trainer it would make an ideal 2nd model and would help those looking to broaden or bring back their old modelling skills lost to the world of ARF's.
As a part kit, this Tucano model requires a medium level of modeling experience to build. It is not an ARF but following the build sequence as described in the accomanying manual, the builder should not encounter any difficulty in building the aircraft. The joy of a fiberglass part kit is that the builder is free to modify or adopt their own build methodology and scale detail on the model.
Kit comprises: 2 fiberglass fuselage components (front and rear) 1 Clear plastic canopy 1 fiberglass canopy for those that may not want a scale cockpit Fiberglass cowl Fiberglass fin Fiberglass belly pan Foam wing and tail cores
Additional components such as balsa wing skins etc listed in the build manual will need to be supplied. The photos show what is provided.
