The Miles M.14 Magister is a British two-seat monoplane basic trainer aircraft built by the Miles Aircraft for the Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm. Affectionately known as the Maggie, the Magister was based on Miles' civilian Hawk Major and Hawk Trainer and was the first monoplane designed specifically as a trainer for the RAF. As a low-wing monoplane, it was an ideal introduction to the Spitfire and Hurricane for new pilots.
Our own design of the Miles Magister in an 82" wingspan for 120 size engines is a premium quality kit which includes quick and easy interlocking construction for a simple yet accurate build, along with precise vacuum formed parts to take care of the shapes around the engine cowl and wing fillets. This is a kitset that you could build into a competition level scale aircraft.

The laser cut short kits include all of the shaped parts in balsa and ply which would normally require the builder to cut them from sheets. Items such as formers, wing ribs and other shaped pieces are all precisely laser cut. This leaves you to purchase only the sticks, spruce or balsa sheets you need to complete the kit, some of which you may already have on-hand.
All kits are proudly made in NZ! We hand select our wood stock for each kitset from the best Balsa Wood from Papua New Guinea and European Plywoods. The CAD design and laser cutting is done by Master Modeller Gwyn Avenell in Auckland.
